MISSOULA CHILDREN'S THEATRE
ALADDIN

The Missoula Children's Theatre (MCT), the nation's largest touring children's theatre, has been touring extensively for more than 40 years from Montana to Japan. A tour team arrives in a given town with a set, costumes and props - everything it takes to put on a play...except the cast. The team holds an open audition and casts 50-60 local students to perform in the production.
ALADDIN Audition - Monday, July 6th at 10am
An audition will be held for the production of ALADDIN Monday, July 6th at 10am at The Liberty Theatre. Those auditioning should arrive at 10am and plan to stay for a full two hours. Some of the cast members will be asked to stay for a rehearsal immediately following the audition.
If you would like to fill out the audition form ahead of time please request one from theaterdirector@libertyastoria.org.
Approximately 50-60 roles are available for local students. All students, Kindergarten through 12th grade, are encouraged to audition. No advance preparation is necessary. Most students rehearse approximately 4 ½ hours each day, Monday through Friday. Performances are scheduled for Saturday, July 11th at 3pm and 5:30pm.

For Aladdin it’s not easy to find a magic lamp but it’s even harder to get a date! It’s a swirling sandstorm of famous Arabian Tales from Ali Baba to Scheherazade, and even Sinbad the Sailor, as Aladdin journeys to find a magic lamp in a Cave of (not-so-great) Wonders. Along his way Aladdin seeks answers and advice from wise Genies, a powerful Sultan, and his own Mother to find a way to meet the Princess. However, even with the lamp in hand, Aladdin will have to learn that it takes more than a wish to make a good impression. Full of memorable characters, from lost Penguins to talking Palm Trees, this is an adventure worthy of 1,001 laughs.
This production is part of the Missoula Children's Theatre's unique international touring project and is presented locally by The Liberty Theatre. Tickets are available at libertyastoria.org or in the Liberty Box Office.
Audition date: Monday, July 6th at 10:00 am. Meet in the lobby.
Cost of participating: Free! Please plan to bring lunches.
