PTSD911 is a documentary film that explores the struggle of emergency first responders who battle the demons of post-traumatic stress but are often afraid of the very real threat of losing their job if they ask for help.

First Responders are heroes, and many are in trouble. A daily barrage of traumatic scenes has an effect on a human being. Things that one cannot unsee, experiences that nightmares are made of, sights that haunt the human soul, yet most first responders handle these situations with poise and professionalism. It seems as if these men and women are not human. Yet they are human, and the psychological toll that impacts their professional and personal lives produces a level of stress that most people can never imagine.

PTSD911 provides a glimpse into the lives of first responders and the traumas they face. The film also provides answers in the form of case studies of individuals who have overcome their demons, and agencies that are working hard to help their members prosper and thrive.
