Host Drew Wilson-McGrath would like to introduce you to your two new favorite comics: Monica Nevi & Mike Coletta.
Mike Coletta is a Seattle-based comedian originally from Alaska. He started comedy performing improv in the wheat-infested, cultural boomtown of Pullman, Washington. There, Coletta cracked up college audiences in the Nuthouse Improv Comedy Troupe, where he performed and directed. Coletta connects with audiences through his quick wit, energetic delivery, and positive presence. His honest reaction to life experiences completely envelops his comedy, and emits a fun, passionate disposition to audiences. Coletta has performed at The Bridgetown Comedy Festival, Emerald City Comicon, Treefort Fest, and Bumbershoot. He's also the co-host of the Codex History of Video Games and HugLife Podcasts.
Monica Nevi is also a native of the Seattle area, having grown up about 20 minutes south in the glorious area of Renton. The product of a wonderfully humorous family and diverse life experience, she went on to earn a degree from Seattle University and lived in the city for 3 more years after going to school. After injuries ended her career as a college basketball player, she decided to move forward with the next most accepted career for a young woman and pursue her strong interest in stand-up comedy. Since then, it has been nothing but up for this hilarious comic, as she continues racking up accolades as one of the funniest comics in the PNW.
Her debut special “Big Stepdad Energy” was filmed in Philadelphia with Helium Comedy Studios and released in October 2022. It was voted top 50 specials of the year by We Own The Laughs magazine.
