Orquestra Pacifico Tropical is a vibrant Pacific Northwest Cumbia band hailing from Portland, Oregon. Bringing together a rich tapestry of sounds from Colombia, Peru, and Mexico, reimagining traditional rhythms with a modern twist, their music is a fusion of infectious 50's, 60's, and 70's Cumbia, along with original compositions that capture the essence of their diverse influences.
Founded by drummer David "Papi" Fimbres, the band's roots run deep in the Latin music traditions that shaped his childhood. Their performances are known for their irresistible, hypnotically rhythmic sound that gets everyone dancing, making every show a celebration of culture and unity.
