COLUMBIA RIVER SYMPHONY PRESENTS
JOYFUL TIDINGS

Led by conductor Cory Pederson, the Columbia River Symphony, in collaboration with the Warrenton High/Middle school choirs for their first joint performance since 2019, celebrate the holiday season with symphonic and choral music. This marks the fourth collaboration between CRS and the Warrenton Middle and High School choirs, promising a holiday-themed performance filled with passion, joy, and the warmth of the winter season.
Musical selections will include: Chris Bernotas's "Ancient Carol Variants,” based off of the song ‘God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen’;" George Frideric Handel's "Joy to the World;" Michael Lawrence’s toe tappin’ version of “Go, Tell it on the Mountain;” various snow themed holiday favorites in the selection titled “On with the Snow!” by Douglas E. Wagner; the everlasting warmth and harmonies of “Silent Night,” arranged by James Swearingen, and many more favorites performed by the Columbia River Symphony. Combined choir and symphony
selections include a beautiful choral ballad by Pinkzebra, titled “This Christmas;” and the rich, choral textures of “The Little Drummer Boy,” which will resonate throughout the exquisite halls of the enchanting Liberty Theatre. Many more musical surprises will await all those in attendance by all three ensembles, as well as a finale sing-a-long by all! Pre-concert music will be provided by “Saxophones Well-Done,” a saxophone quartet making their large venue debut from Vancouver, Washington.
Feel free to bring your camera as photo opportunities with Santa will be available in the lobby at the conclusion of the program. Free candy canes to celebrate the holiday season will also be handed out.
